Taking advantage of the euro speleo rigging by the mighty brcc, a solo trip down this classic was had.
Walking up in very fine evening sunshine, listening to some tunes, I quickly located meregill hole.
It is obviously a beast of a cave to rig particularly when rigging for wet weather, so congrats to the lads for the heroic effort! As a result of your endeavours, I made it to the end (before the low crawl) and out again in fairly prompt time. I took a few photos en route for good measure and also met a Surrey cave group on their way out also glad not to have rigged this classic.
I was reminded how stunning this cave is with it’s superb pitches but also the delightful streamway near the bottom. A real pleasure.
