Our midweek planning finally came to fruition for Alex and I, meeting at Skipton before heading up to Kettlewell in my car. The weather was absolutely freezing with a fluttering of snow, so we decided to use a 4 wheel drive car.
Providence to Dow never disappoints as it’s such a fine streamway as we all know but a great physical work out to boot.
We reckon the trip time was 1 hour and 40 minutes, with almost as much walking as caving!
It sounded wet as we entered but it wasn’t that bad inside and I hardly got wet in the narrows. The water never really got above waist high.
Finished off the evening in The Kings Head in Kettlewell for an enjoyable pint.
