A walk of two parts.... Which started at Cow Green Car Park, myself, Pete and Shelley walked alongside the Cow Green reservoir, then over the dam to drop down to Cauldron Snout, I went as far as Falcon Clints, then said my goodbyes to Pete and Shelley as they continued following the river whilst I headed back to the car. Once at the car park I had a good look around the old mine workings, grabbed a leaflet on the area and set off to park just a bit past the High Force parking area.

Once parked up I followed a path over the river, and headed upstream, eventually the roar of water could be heard from High Force and after taking a few snaps from this fine and free viewpoint (unlike the lets charge you to look at it side!) I carried onwards to eventually meet Pete and Shelley whose walk was apparently pleasant, if perhaps a tad wet crossing a river.. Pete and Shelley had covered 8miles in a linear walk and I had notched up about 7 on my two-part walking.
