A two man team headed to the Dales for a pre-Christmas trip.
Something simple was required and so we aimed for Easegill. On arrival the quest for a fuss free trip meant we plumped for a tackle free adventure into Wretched Rabbit Entrance.
We knew it had been many years since we last emerged from here, it later transpired it had been 14 years! The new (to us) entrance is certainly impressive! In we went, down Spiral Staircase, took a quick nosey at the bottom of Pool Sink before heading on to the main stream. We weaved our way through the passages and boulders to Stop Pot. Vague memories took us in the right direction to follow Wretched Rabbit all the way to the surface. The classic twisting canyon passages so common in this part of the cave were definitely enjoyed, simple but good caving.
Cold wind necessitated a quick change and then off to the (very busy) Station Inn at Caton for a well earned pint.
